Limitless, the global master development arm of Dubai World, has announced that it would commence leasing of 300 apartments of The Galleries.
The CEO of the Limitless, Saeed Ahmed Saeed, said that the units at The Galleries combine modern work with quality living, offering a good balance of indoor and outdoor life, and promotes use of environment-friendly transport, all amidst a community-style environment.

Developers who have invested in Downtown Jebel Ali are free to take possession of their land and commence work, announced Limitless, the global master developer.
About 250 plots are all ready to be delivered to all 122 developers who had purchased land in the 200 hectare project, where the infrastructure work is progressing as scheduled.
According to Salah Ameen, the Project Director of Jebel Ali, this milestone underscores the commitment by the company to the clients, to the project, and to the future of Dubai. Developers can now break ground and the company would focus on infrastructure work to ensure that buildings are all connected to the utilities on completion.
The Downtown Jebel Ali is a combination of recreation, shopping, working and quality living, all within easy access of Dubai and located just 45 minutes from Abu Dhabi. One of the fastest growing real estate developers in Dubai, Cirrus Developments LLC, has announced that their 'Celestial Heights' project is progressing as scheduled.
Located on the Zone One, Trellis District, at Downtown Jebel Ali, the Dh.1bn development will now enter the next phase of construction and has been scheduled towards completing the construction on time.
The mixed-use development would include three towers, namely, Capella, Polaris and Orion. Celestial Heights comprises mid-rise towers, beautiful parks and shaded walkways. The property development is located in proximity to the Waterfront, Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai World Central Airport, and Techno Park.
Designed to accommodate a population of 200,000 the Downtown Jebel Ali will be a living, breathing community comprising public spaces, parks, streets and plazas that are as vital as the buildings themselves.
Celestial Heights is the first development to be launched by Cirrus Developments, and is the first by the sub-developer in Downtown Jebel Ali. The company has thereafter launched another commercial and residential project -the Dh.3bn Aquarius Gate, and the Dh.550mn Sienna Square in Downtown Jebel Ali.
Cirrus Developments was also the first developer to purchase plots in the Canal Districts of Waterfront during July 2008, through a sealed bin auction conducted by Nakheel.

Maison forays into UAE realty market

Maison Limited, the Hong Kong developer, has put its first step forward towards entering the UAE property market, through the purchase of four plots at Downtown Jebel Ali, to develop signature boutique residence. This is also the first global commercial and residential real estate venture of the company.
Located in Phase four of Downtown Jebel Ali, adjacent to the Arabian Canal, the development covers 10,000 square meters of land space and a built-up area of 90,000 square meters. The four plots will be combined to make two large plots and the buildings will rise up to G+18 storeys.
The project will feature state-of-the-art amenities with all apartments being completely furnished and feng-shui operated. The Managing Director of Maison, Shaye'e Shamszadeh said "Progressive foreign ownership laws, a buoyant economy, and the UAE government's drive to create a forward-thinking, cosmopolitan center of finance, business and culture, will together ensure that Dubai maintains its continues success and high profile in the global market."
The construction and infrastructure development is likely to begin after handing-over of the plots in March 2009. The project is likely to see its official launch during the third quarter of this year.
Maison Limited is looking into developments in Abu Dhabi too, although Dubai will be the company's main focus.

The first phase of Deyaar Development, the Deyaar Park, was sold during the first day of launch, generating sales of more than Dh.1.3billion, reveal company officials.
The first phase of the Dh.3billion project includes eight towers for commercial and residential purposes, built within an area of two million square feet. The project is also the single largest mixed use development by the company till date, comprising offices, homes and retail stores.
Deyaar Park is situated in the Green Trellis District of Downtown Jebel Ali, amidst lush green landscape, urban plazas and the shaded avenues. DWC signs pact with Dubai Land Department

Dubai World Central (DWC) recently entered into an MOU with Dubai Land Department (DLD) for providing land estimation, acquisition and sales, and legal and electronic services to DWC staff, developers and investors in the 140 sq km city in Jebel Ali.
The main investors across the DWC free zones are centered around, the Dubai World Central International Airport (JXB) -The DWC Aviation City and the Dubai Logistics City, and real estate units such as the DWC Residential City, DWC Golf City and DWC Commercial City, will collect information from the DLD.
The Dubai World Central, CEO-Real Estate, Khalid bin Harib said "The DWC project has received good support from the Dubai Government since its launch, which in turn has helped in continuing the development as per the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai."
The agreement will enable the DWC and Land Department to together formulate a proper training programme, which enables the DWC real estate staff to understand the processes, systems and mechanisms of Land Sales and Management.
The electronic link between the two, will permit instant access and completion of procedures relating to land registration, and will facilitate legal proceedings pertaining to contractors and advisors.
At present, grading of the phase one in DWC Residential City is in progress, and the construction is expected to begin by January 2008.
"The Land Department has the right information, which we can share with this huge city, which is expected to be a landmark for the entire region," said Sultain bin Mujrin, the General Manager of Dubai Land Department.

Nakheel to re-develop Jebel Ali Village

Nakheel has announced plans to re-develop Jebel Ali Village, and the residents hope to purchase their own homes in the new project. Work is expected to commence towards the end of the year, and will be completed by 2013. Earthworks on the surrounding vacant land have already begun.

The re-developed village will offer a range of medium-density housing which will be supported by commercial, community and retail facilities. However, the size and pricing of the residential units are yet to be revealed.
Nakheel, in their statement, mentioned that the re-development has been planned to take care of quality accommodation requirement, with access to the existing and proposed amenities in the neighbouring area such as the Ibn Battuta Mal and the Dubai Metro Station, being projected.
The current 299 villas in the village will be demolished and the existing tenants were already given a years notice until August 2008, to vacate the premises. These tenants apart from being eligible to purchase homes in the new development, will also be eligible for priority reservation in certain other projects of Nakheel, such as the Discovery Gardens and the International City.
The Jebel Ali Village was constructed in 1977 for providing accommodation to expatriates who are working on the construction of Jebel Ali Port. Certain parts of the existing village such as the Jebel Ali Recreational Club and the Mosque will be retained, although, the Central Park will be expanded to twelve hectares.
